Get to Know the Artist, Darneka

Darneka Illustrates is dedicated to creating beautiful, inspiring fashion illustrations that capture the hearts and imagination of those who see them. Her passion for art shines through every piece she creates.

Born and raised in Chicago, IL, Darneka moved to New York City (the Brooklyn Burrough) in May of 2019 to live out her long time dream of finally claiming herself as a New-Yorker. Her passions of Fashion, Beauty, Illustrating, and Writing have led her to create Darneka Illustrates!

 

After navigating the last 4 years of the pandemic, she decided to move back to Chicago from New York City in October of 2022 to start a new phase of her life.

In her spare time, she enjoys visiting museums, playing tennis, traveling, reading, and trying new restaurants and wines to share with her friends and family.
